Spring is in the air and we all think about heading out to the countryside with our dogs
Please Please remember most sheep are pregnant if not already had their babies. Either way they are very vulnerable during March and April Please keep even the most well behaved dog on the lead.
Dogs will act differently around pregnant sheep and be attracted to a young lamb bleeting Your dog does not need to have a high prey drive like most hounds and some terriers . The sounds and scents can attract any dog.
Do not take any chances keep your dog under control and on a lead if out in the countryside near livestock. Just because the sheep are not in sight does not mean they are not just over the hill.
